    Goodie Bags

With donations from friends and family, yesterday I was able to fill up 20 bags of goodies for the homeless; 10 bags for kids and 10 bags for adults! They were filled with personal hygiene products, blankets, socks, scarfs, hats, gloves, snacks, water/juice, candy and toys for the kids! Also sponsored a 12 year old girl through KYGO's Christmas Crusade for Children and wish I could see her face when she opens up her gifts Christmas morning. Make someone's day, it only takes one person - that person might as well be YOU! Pay it forward! <3

    Pay it Forward

    PAY IT FORWARD-HAVE A HEART

If everyone in the world based one decision in their life a day on their heart instead of by greed this world might be a better place to live in. Come on people give it a try. One decision a day based on your heart and not by greed or power or money. Show someone you have a heart.

I started poesting this every where after a bad experience. I have a brain tumor and other health probs. I want to live in a house before I die. My landlord wont let me break my lease so I can do this. I realized how so many people in this world have no heart anymore. Why would you keep someone from fulfilling a dream. This world is run by greed and money. Not from peoples hearts. What happened to this world.Im hoping by spreading this will start a change to bring back peoples hearts towards one another.

    I created a Left & Found

    http://www.ifoundmoneytoday.com

Inspired by a few different events (too many to list here) I decided I needed to give back. I wanted to give money, but not just money. I wanted to give a stranger the feeling of FINDING money, which as you know, is probably one of the best feelings a person can have. You really feel like the universe is giving you a pat on the back. Please go to http://www.ifoundmoneytoday.com to keep track of the drops and to send in your own (if you get the urge).

I should note that a sister site has sprung up already, in Singapore! http://www.ifoundsantatoday.wordpress.com

    Started blogging

This year I decided I was going to start a blog to promote environmental and social justice issues, with a focus on individuals taking small actions to make a positive difference to the world. The site launched in May, and now, at the start of Dec I've over 3000 followers - though there is a long way to go.

Please drop in and let me know what you think www.nextstarfish.com :)

    Computers to needy people

I own my own computer repair shop, and on occasion I'll get used computers in for one reason or another. I like to refurb them and give them out to people I know who cannot afford to buy a new computer, I just gave one away last night!

    MACHnotes

Hi, we are Jen and Nicole, the creators of MACH Movement. We wanted to start a positive trend, that would allow people to Make A CHange in someone's life that they didn't know. Or a way for people to leave inspiring messages anonymously. That's when we came up with the idea of MACHnotes. They are a way to Post-IT forward. You can stick them anywhere, and really express yourself. Then after you find one, or make one, we want you to send it in, so we can share messages with each-other. The MACH Movement is a way for people to see different ways people are Making A CHange, no matter how big or how small it is.

    Fill Up the Truck!

I organized an event to Fill Up a Truck to go to Joplin, Missouri. My coworkers and friends and folks from all over the community brought lots of gently used and new furnishings, kitchen items, anything people can use to start over with. It was a great turnout and we were able to help people who have had literally nothing since tornadoes took their homes. Generous donations helped to pay for a FedEx truck to haul it all - a 28 foot truck full of love. What a great feeling!

    4,500 Children Dead

That is approx. how many children will die today from unsafe drinking water. That same number will die again tomorrow. Unsanitary water conditions affect millions, some estimates billions, of people in this world. Men, women, children - entire communities - suffer disease and death from unsafe water. I strongly feel the unjustness of this issue and that those of us more fortunate should take an active interest in promoting and funding clean water projects in developing nations.

$20 will provide one person with clean drinking water for 20 years. $5,000 dollars is the expense of a typical water project that will serve an entire community. It all starts with a penny. 100% of all money donated is tax deductible and goes directly in the field to those in need. I donated my $20 at http://mycharitywater.org/p/campaign?campaign_id=17081 and also created a drive to help those in need on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fiddy-Cent-2-50K/238680796160852 United we are strong!

    Shhh!

Shhh! Trying to remain stealthy! LOL. I have "Pay It Forward" bracelets from http://www.payitforward.org . Today, I've taped coins to a few bracelets, and I'm going to hide them in various public places that I go tonight. Hopefully people will read the packaging and see that they are to open them, put on the "Pay It Forward" bracelet, then do something nice for someone else. Once that person says "thank you," they are to remove the bracelet and pass it on to that person. And so on and so on and so on! Always remind others to Pay It Forward!

    Cold drink, anyone?

It was trash and recycling day in our neighborhood yesterday. When I took our cans to the curb, I put (and always do) cold ("cracking!") drinks on top of each can for the trash and recycling people to take when they empty our cans. It's so hot outside, and having a unique (always try to give uniquely flavored drinks and waters...not sodas) beverage to truly quench your thirst is such a relief. (I'd appreciate that if someone did it for ME, anyway. LOL)

    Sent info to a helper

At a bloodwork appointment last week, my doctor told me that while she'd recently been on vacation in another country, she helped a few different people. I printed out information from an online contest (http://www.worldsunluckiesttraveler.com) and mailed it to her. Maybe she can fill out her story information and win $10,000 for another (this time, uneventful!) trip!

    Looked up medical info

A Facebook friend had a problem stemming from drinking coffee. He mentioned burning, blisters, etc. I didn't know whether it was an allergic reaction or something, so I searched on the internet to see how he could help alleviate the pain and maybe keep it from happening again. I thought it might be "burning mouth syndrome" (since it had never happened to him before), but he thinks it was just truly burns from the actual coffee, itself. Better safe than sorry, I guess!

    Fainting guard

Some days ago my wife and another couple were very late to go to a 12hrs road trip (go and back the same day) in Dominican Rep. Just when we was starting our journey I saw a private guard making some strange pain gestures in front of an empty office he was working on, like he was short of breath. Something in my heart told me that this was for real (in that country some people make a drama in order to commit theft), so I ask the driver to go back to him.

The guard seems as having a heart attack, with a yellowish eyes, and nobody around for help, so we hold him, take the shotgun for precaution, and call an ambulance, but the nearest ambulance was 40 minutes away from us, so we take the guy to the nearset hospital. The doctor said that he had a syncope due to malnutrition. When he was stabilized, we call the guard company to notify th incident, and the other friend with me give the guard some money so he can buy some food after that emergency.

It's feels good to payit forward!

    Lend a fund to microfinance

I believe in self-reliance and I think people who decide to help themselves should be given more chances than people who do nothing and waiting for help. I have lend a fund to a group of female members who run peanut business in Mali.

    I paid this time!

It seems like such a small thing, but when I went to dinner last night with someone who ALWAYS takes the check and pays it, it feels good to pay it forward by taking care of it. Thankfully, there wasn't too much of a protest. It also gave me the chance to show that I'm happy to invest in my relationship - and can give as well as receive. That felt great!

    Back home

I'm originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. I grew up in a small town with many hardships. Luckily for me I was lucky enough to immigrate to US. Now I have a better life, but have not forget where I came from and how I grew up.

Now, every time I go back home to visit I always try to do two things. Firs I visit the local school and bring school supplies for the children. Not only that I bring; with me personal electronics such as cameras or iPods and give it to those kids that needed, because when I look at their faces I see myself when I was a kid, and when I see their smiles it makes me feel that I have accomplish something great. And second I try to donate my time and talk to these kids to motivate them to continue studying and give them a reason to do so. I also help them with their homework and teach them English.

Even if it's something small, I feel that I accomplish a lot, because those kids deserve that and more. I hope to continue doing this and keep payin' it fwd.
